About the CAC

The Czech Arbitration Court is a Not For Profit organisation based in Prague and attached to the Czech Chamber of Commerce and the Agricultural Chamber of the Czech Republic. Established in 1949, CAC’s services include the resolution of domestic and international property disputes. In 2011, CAC administered over 3,000 arbitration proceedings.

In 2005, CAC was selected as the .eu ADR Provider by EURid and the European Commission. Since the initiation of the first .eu ADR proceeding in March 2006, close to 1,000 proceedings have been brought before the Court, and more than 900 decisions have been issued and published. CAC administers .eu ADR proceedings under the ADR.eu brand in 21 of the 23 official EU languages (the exception being Irish and Maltese) using an innovative and unique on-line platform. A team of developers within the CAC work consistently to improve the ADR.eu platform. For example, the option of utilising advanced electronic signatures was launched in 2007.

In January 2008, CAC was approved by ICANN as a new UDRP provider, first one in more than six years.
